Service Description
Relief Carving Relief carving is a technique that creates a 3D image on a flat surface by lowering the background with chisels, gouges and carving knives. Course Description: Students will learn how to transfer designs onto the wood surface, and what tools and techniques are best to achieve differing effects while working on a project. Some carving experience would be beneficial. The class will be limited to 10 students. Instructor: Pat Butler Age restrictions: Adults and teenagers (13 - 18) permitted. Students, age 13 - 18 years old, must be accompanied by an adult. Tools and Materials: All tools and materials will be provided for the course. Cost (includes lunch): Non-members $45 ACWA members $35 Teens (13-18)* $10 * All students must be accompanied by an adult Cancellation Policy: Fees will be refunded on a case by case basis or if we can find someone to fill the spot.
