Class Description: Hand Tools Demystified 1. What you will make: Bench aids to help with tool use and sharpening. 2. Tools you will use: A Honing Guide, Hand Planes and Hand Saws 3. Knowledge and skills you will gain: How to sharpen and set up your Hand Tools, and the techniques to get the most out of your Hand Tools. 4. Brief woodworking related biography of the instructor: Deneb Puchalski has been a Hand Tool user and instructor for over 30 years and has worked for Lie-Nielsen Toolworks for 22 years. At Lie-Nielsen Toolworks, Deneb is the primary Hand Tool Demonstrator and Educator, doing demos and teaching classes all over the world. Age: Adults; Young adults 16+ Number of Students: Class size is limited to 12 students Tools and Materials: All materials are provided. Bring your own tools if you have any on the list above. Please make sure that your tools are in usable condition, this is not a tool rehabilitation class. There will be a set of the instructor’s tools available for use, but this will not be enough for everyone. We will have loaner tools for you to borrow if needed. Cost: $20 materials fee. $60 shop fee. Instructors fee: $90 Total cost: $170 Club Membership: You must be an ACWA member to attend this class.
