Class Description: Build a Tool Chest 1. What you will make: You will build a Tool Chest to Hold the Core Tools 2. Tools you will use: Bench Planes: Jack, Joiner and Smoother. Joinery & Detail Tools: Block Plane, Shoulder Plane, Router Plane, Tongue and Groove Plane, Chisels. Saws: Dovetail Saw, Carcass Saw & Panel Saw. Honing Guide and Sharpening Stones. 3. Knowledge and skills you will gain: You will learn how to Sharpen and set up your tools, and what tools are needed to be able to build projects by hand. Wood selection and Joinery will also be covered. Glue ups, hand cut dovetails, and other techniques. 4. Brief woodworking related biography of the instructor: Deneb Puchalski has been a Hand Tool user and instructor for over 30 years and has worked for Lie-Nielsen Toolworks for 22 years. At Lie-Nielsen Toolworks, Deneb is the primary Hand Tool Demonstrator and Educator, doing demos and teaching classes all over the world.
