Classic Mirror Date(s): Tuesday Feb 20 and Feb 27 Time: 4 pm to 8pm. Where: Alaska Industrial Hardware Store; 2716 Commercial Dr, Anchorage Class Description: 1. In this class, students will build a Classic Mirror Frame, about 2' wide x 3' tall. As emphasis in the class will be the basic skills needed to use the power tools safely, including the jointer and planer, handheld and table-mounted routers, and the table saw. Students will have the opportunity to customize the project by size and by profile on the rails and stiles. 2. Marc Brown is a retired Computer Scientist who recently relocated from Silicon Valley where he moonlighted for 5 years as an instructor in the Palo Alto Adult School's Woodworking Program. He now builds using wood rather than using Java and Python. Age: This class is well-suited for novice and intermediate woodworkers. Number of Students: Class size is limited to 6 students Tools and Materials: All tools are provided. You do not need to bring any tools. Tools used: Jointer, Planer, Router, Domino Cutter. Cost: $20 materials fee. (DOES NOT INCLUDE THE MIRROR) $60 shop fee. Instructors fee: $50 Total cost: $130 Club Membership: You must be an ACWA member to attend this class.
