Class Description: 1. What you will make: Peter Korn steam bent arm chair 2. Tools you will use: Table saw, planer, band saw, sander, domino, assorted hand tools, steam bending equipment. 3. Knowledge and skills you will gain: Integration of steam bending components into chair building 4. Brief woodworking related biography of the instructor: Greg Lyall is a retired mechanical engineer that took up woodworking about 7 years ago. He has concentrated on furnishing his home with custom built furniture. Age: Adults; Young adults 16+ Number of Students: Class size is limited to 5 students Tools and Materials: All tools are provided except additional steam bending equipment will be helpful if you have them to bring. Steam boxes, bending straps and soaking containers will speed up this build. In addition, two jigs will be required and will be part of the build. Templates will be furnished in advance. Cost: $165.00 materials fee. $20 shop fee. Instructors fee $48 Total cost: $233 Club Membership: You must be an ACWA member to attend this class Cancellation Policy: Club membership is not refundable. Fees will be refunded on a case by case basis or if we can find someone to take the spot.
