Class Description: 1. What you will make: You will construct a wall shelf with a rod for hanging quilts/wall hangings. 2. Tools you will use: Table saw, band saw, router, drill press, jointer, planer, various hand tools 3. Knowledge and skills you will gain: You will learn how to: mill wood for a project, use a router to make a stopped dado and finish an edge, use a bandsaw to cut a profile, and a drill press to cut a circle. 4. Brief woodworking related biography of the instructor: Sandy Mckinnis has been making furniture and other wooden items for over 45 years. Age: Adults; Young adults 16+ Number of Students: Class size is limited to 5 students Tools and Materials: All tools are provided. You do not need to bring any tools. Cost: $ 50 materials fee for red oak. $40 shop fee. Instructors fee: $50 Total cost: $140. You will need to supply a heavy-duty curtain rod.
