Service Description
What you will make: We will be making a desk top scrolled clock with a flying eagle. Tools you will use: You will be using some or all of these tools: drill, drill press, scroll saw, router, Dremel and sanding tools. Knowledge and skills you will gain: During this class you will learn the basic steps of preparing, cutting and finishing a project. We will cover some basic techniques and learn a few pointers.This project will require small fretwork cuts including 90’ turns and sharp points. You will be given an opportunity to try a variety of blades including spirals. Brief woodworking related biography of the instructor: The instructor for this class is Rhonda Hayhurst. She has been scrolling for over 20 years. Her father got her started on an old Delta scroll saw, which she still has. Her love of all things wood has fueled her interest in this art form. Rhonda has won a variety of awards from Indiana County Fair, Artistry in Wood and the Alaska State Fair. Her work has been featured on the Bear Woods Supply Company Facebook page and newsletter after winning a contest
