Class Description: 1. What you will make: You will choose one/more of several projects or can make one of your own choosing. 2. Tools you will use: All of the hand and power tools in the shop will be available. 3. Knowledge and skills you will gain: How to use scraps to create something beautiful 4. Brief woodworking related biography of the instructors: Sandy Mckinnis has been building things out of wood for over 40 years. She has taken many classes through the ACWA from both local and nationally recognized instructors. She particularly likes building furniture—couches, doors, bookcases, tables, etc. Tam Pikey has been taking classes through ACWC, and building things for the past 6 years. She enjoys building small items like chess boards, boxes and clocks, as well as larger furniture such as tables, bookcases, and benches. Age: Adults; Young adults 16+ Number of Students: Class size is limited to 6 students Tools and Materials: All tools are provided. You do not need to bring any tools. Cost: Students will provide their own scraps and/or a selection will be provided by the instructors. $40 shop fee. Instructors fee: $20 Total cost: $60 Club Membership: You must be an ACWA member to attend this class. Please click here to join the club Cancellation Policy: Club membership is not refundable.
