Service Description
Class Description: 1. What you will make: You will make a planter stand with three planter boxes 2. Tools you will use: Table saw, router, bandsaw, jointer, hand power tools. If you want a design on the front of the boxes you will use a CNC Origin Shaper. 3. Knowledge and skills you will gain: How to construct a box with an insert bottom, how to construct a stand. How to use a CNC Origin Shaper. 4. Brief woodworking related biography of the instructors: Lisa Lackey operates Fishhook Woodworks with her husband Bob and has been active with the ACWA. Lisa uses a computer to design projects, then cuts and engraves with the laser on wood, leather, acrylic and metal. Lisa has taught classes making signs, cutting boards, and using the Shaper Origin handheld CNC router. Sandy Mckinnis has been building things out of wood for over 40 years. She has taken many classes through the ACWA from both local and nationally recognized instructors. She particularly likes building furniture—couches, doors, bookcases, tables, etc.
